unXplained Guild Outing 2011

It's another guild outing for guild unXplained! It's been almost two years since we last had one. This time round we had many more members joining us. Quite an interesting gathering, with so many new faces, old faces and good food.

A Visit From A Weird Insect

This weird but interesting looking insect flew into my home. Looks like a piece of leaf and is merely 1cm long at most. Didn't hesitate to take pix of it. Even put it inside a glass bottle and took pix of its underside lol.

AFA 2011

Went to check out Anime Festival Asia 2011 with dear. The tickets getting more expensive each year. The organizers must be thinking that it was such great success on the previous years and therefore increased the prices of the tickets. This time round there wasn't much at the festival. Not many figurines on display. It was more on maid and butler cafes, performances by AKB48 girls, anime movie screenings etc. We eventually went to watch Naruto Shippuuden movie 8: Blood Prison. Quite a boring storyline. $10 some more. Got a free poster though.

First Ever Company Event: Bowling

My first, as well as the company's first. There was shuttle bus to bring us to Mount Faber SAFRA for this bowling competition. Our department's team comprises of all of us except Da Chin. And then because there wasn't enough players for some other teams, therefore it ended up with every team to be made up of 4 players instead of 5. So our boss, Dominic, sacrificed himself and joined another team.

We had a small table of food prepared for us. But the moment we entered the bowling alley, we saw SembCorp's food spread was much better than our's lol. No wonder their share price is much higher. After the short dinner, we started warming up for our games with a few throws. Then the actual games started at 7pm.

Our first game's total team score was not too bad: 369 pts. And I barely made it past 100. Wah really rusty lol. Second game all of my teammates deteriorated but I got a 137 lol. Final score is 374 though. Too bad we didn't get to win anything. Cos anyone who got a double or turkey actually could get toblerones and vouchers respectively. Too bad I'm too rusty lol. Didn't even get anything, not to mention no top three trophies.

The trophies so cute eh? But..Milo!? Toblerone???

Our team name is "Risky" cos nobody came up with a name, so they just anyhow named it.
