F1 Rocks

Hehe din go this year but I can still remember the atmosphere (and the temperature) of being at the circuit. This year I watched the race at the comfort of my home, instead of squeezing with the crowd at blazing temperatures at the Marina Bay Circuit. Lol the fuel accident happened again. And the 3rd and 1st podium finishes of Alonso and Hamilton swapped places this year, with the 2nd replaced by Timo Glock. Poor Nico Rosberg had to serve penalty for his blunder of going over the white line at the pit lane exit and thus ended at position 11 instead of last year's 2nd.

23rd September 2009, Wednesday

Went to watch "The Ugly Truth" starring Katherine Heigl (quite a beauty) and Gerard Butler (of 300 fame) with the Citi guys. We ended up watching at E!Hub at Downtown East. Quite a nice and funny romantic comedy, something which I wouldn't choose to watch unless people jio. But still quite a nice movie with several hilarious moments. Yes quite some truth is revealed about guys and girls. Go watch it with your other half for a better understanding of what the opposite sex thinks.

26th September 2009, Saturday

It's Ah-ma's ROM! Wow suddenly all the MKG people are starting to get ROMed and get married etc. Stress sia hahaha. We went to Costa Sands at Pasir Ris to share Ah-ma's joy. It was a rather low profile event, but a joyous occasion nonetheless. However it was the freaking hot weather that dampens the mood. The last MKG ROM of Huimin and Albert also made us felt like just out of a sauna. Please please don't hold an ROM in the afternoon!!

We took plenty of pix and enjoyed the spread of food after Ah-ma and Raymond's solemnization was over. The whole event didn't last more than two hours and thus I went back home before going out again later in the evening.
Zhangjing jioed us out to try out some smelly beancurd along Geylang Road. Thought it would be a big turn-out. In the end only Ron, KMS, Zhangjing and me turned up. And it was after some persuasion before KMS turned up. Haven't seen KMS since the last timWe first tried out the 臭豆腐 shop right at the start of Geylang Road. Smells just like dirty drains. Tastes normal loh, nothing much to comment about. But the 炸大肠 was very crispy and tasty. We also tried the soft-shell crabs and 炸金针菇, which were all pretty nice.

Next we walked over to the youtiao shop. Ordered plenty of food. In the end we gave up plans to go for our 3rd stop of dimsum hahaha. Ron went home after that we and proceeded to soak in the F1 atmosphere by sitting at City Hall's Starbucks. Sat there talking over coffee and babe-watching as the crowds dispersed after the qualifying sessions of F1 was over.

Not Enough of Nobody

Whoever hasn't seen their MTV or at least heard of the song must be a hermit or something. Ain't had enough of Nobody? Here's the Super Import Nights' models version of the Nobody dance, originally done by the Wondergirls.

GCA + SIN = Graphics-Intensive Post (Be Warned!)

Went to exhibitions on all three long-weekend days. Phew... It's finally over. Tired sia... And just finished sorting out my 100s of pix taken during these few days.

Games Convention Asia 2009

Well it's games and more games. All the latest games and technology. Well it seems that lately these gaming conventions have more and more booth babes to promote their games. And what's best is they don't lose to those models at IT shows/car shows. These babes are kinda young, probably 18 to 20s, but they are rather pretty. Got games and babes, wow what else can you ask for?
She's my favourite booth babe.
What a mesmerizing smile.
Anyone knows her name?

She's my 2nd favourite. Very sweet smile.
Nice costume to promote Granado Espada: The Masquerade
.
This babe is very cute too.
I'm just spoiling the picture hahaha
.
Sweet young things.
Haven't got much chance to take pix of cosplayers. But then again I'm busy taking pix of booth babes hahaha. Guanming was there to oversee the competition for the 4 days, so I went over to look for him too. This year, IAHGames, the main organizer of this GCA09, hired 8 booth babes for 4 games. That's 2 booth babes for each game. And they had this quest thing such that each person who signed up a new account for the games, they could approach each booth and play some games with the booth babes. Once the quests are completed, you can participate in a lucky draw. Lol kinda boliao but fun. You get to play games with the booth babes. Woohoo! I was there with Li Teng, and Ron and Xiaoqin were there too. Gamers will always be gamers. Hehehe...
I captured a Stormtrooper!
Those arms look huge and heavy!

Super Import Nights 2009

To think Nicholas and Li Teng can wake up so early to reach Expo at 10am! I reached at 2+ and stayed till 7pm. Legs went wobbly and was feeling so shack when I reached home lol. Nic clocked 9 hours sia power! It cost $10 to enter the Expo hall of SIN. And the moment I went in, my shooter went on machine-gun mode. Exhausted my 2 x 2 magazines of rounds within the 5 hours there. Luckily I din go earlier in the morning, otherwise I would have to buy extra batteries to last me so long. Many of the cars were pretty awesome. But so were the babes. I'm pretty sure if there're no babes, you won't even see half the crowd present hahaha. Cindy's friend was really there as a show girl. Therefore I went to take a few shots with her.

I took almost 400 shots in just 5 hours. That's 4 shots per 3 mins hahaha. In the end after filtering out the bad shots I'm left with 200+. And I'm super lazy to upload my pix. Too many and lazy to upload onto FB, therefore I'll just upload a few here hahaha. There are plenty of awesome shots on Clubsnap anyway. I'll need to upgrade to DSLR soon >_<... Ok enough talk, here're the babes/cars.

KTV + Gundam + Ice-cream = Shiok!

I'm sitting in here in a boring room. It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon. I'm wasting my time I've got lotsa things to do....

Ok too much KTV ahahhaa! Here's the recap:

11th September 2009, Friday

We went to this place at Liang Court called Marutama Ramen, a Japanese restaurant specializing in ramen. Costs about $12 a bowl. The soup was really very tasty. Noodles QQ one haha. So I give a 4 stars for the noodles. おいしかったですよ hehe.
After that we went to the Partyworld KTV just upstairs. There were 8 of us from my office. Most of them were from the last KTV gang, plus Justina and Charles. We sang from 9pm to 1am, and even extended another 2 hrs since everyone was in the mood. Sharon left at 12:30am cos Erwin went to pick her up. So the 7 of us continued the madness until 3am lol. Charles sang plenty of Hokkien songs and other silly imitations to make us laugh our heads off lol.
12th September 2009, Saturday

I finally decided to go and see the Gundam Fiesta exhibition held at Compass Point. Why did they wanna set it up at such an ulu place??? Beats me... Luckily got someone interested to go with me. Therefore I met up with Jacenta to travel to this ulu shopping centre at Sengkang. At first glance, the size of the exhibition didn't really had much impact on us, but as we wondered deeper into the exhibition and saw the huge collection of Gundam models on display. Wah 看傻眼了... They had the latest and oldest models on display. Cos the size of each model is actually quite small, that explains why there's no need to hold it at those large places like Suntec I guess. Even the creator of Gundam, Katsumi Kawaguchi, was present to have a little game with his fans. Awesome! What's even more awesome were the two Gundam babes. I feel that they're even more professional than those at IT shows. These two models did not hesitate to pose for all the 99% of the guys who were waiting to take their pix. They didn't even show a bit of reluctance to keep posing even though there were wearing those kinda uncomfortable-looking Gundam outfits lol. That's what I call professional. I guess I snapped 66% Gundam and 33% Gundam babes. And I took like 100+ pix altogether. Wahaha! Really damn cool Gundam models on display. At one moment I was so itching to get my hands on the titanium finish of the Unicorn Gundam, but it costs a hefty $135.95! Crazy! But it looks really damn nice!! ARGH!! Oh well I'm not a Gundam fan anyway, otherwise I think I might have burnt a hole in my wallet.

For more photos, see my Facebook album.

Clear version. Nice!
Gold one! Also nice!

Trying out Macro and non-macro shots.
Gundam Babe no. 1
Gundam Babe no. 2

Next up we traveled to Marina Barrage via the free shuttle bus from Marina Bay MRT station for the Ben & Jerry's Chunk Fest. Alas all those who wanted to join me din turn up. So Jacenta and I roamed around MB and tried out some of the 12 new flavours exclusive to this event. I got the Butter Pecan and Chocolate Fudge something something. B&J's flavours are always super long and hard to remember lol. We then enjoyed ice-cream to the sounds of local bands rocking away on the small stage set up specially for this event. The Muttons were there as hosts too. Throughout the day it was pretty hot and humid, therefore the ice-cream melted quite quickly. I think the ice-cream flavours were nothing really fantastic. Just that B&J had a great marketing strategy to sell their products. But still it's a great event to get our asses off our chairs at home hahah.
