Jellyfeet

That's a new term to imply the state of a pair of legs whereby further exertion of energy will result in paralysis. And it describes my legs at the moment. Nolah! Where got so serious!? Anyway was really so tired yesterday that I didn't manage to update any posts, therefore could only do it now.

30th March 2008, Sunday

I actually woke up at 6:30am on a Sunday morning! Amazing! I don't remember the last time I woke up so early on a Sunday morning! And to make it more amazing, I slept at 3am! So effectively I've only slept for 3.5hrs! I then went down to the bus-stop outside Bedok MRT to meet up with Peiyi and Peyyong, as well as one of Peiyi's friend. We then took a taxi all the way down to Singapore Botanic Gardens. Another amazing feat! I haven't been there since I was a kid? Gotta dig up my old photos and see when that was.

We were there to act as volunteers. Yes you've not misread it. V-O-L-U-N-T-E-E-R-S. What? NaFiMuYa a volunteer? OMG I can't even believe myself. But then again. Believe it! I finally moved my butt after several attempts from Peiyi to ask me to help her out in her events. Actually I wouldn't have gone if not for it being the Botanic Gardens. Wahahah! Nolah actually I very good-hearted one loh. Nobody knows only. Haizzz But anyway the job was to be station masters for our allocated stations to oversee the game being played at our station. Peiyi's company was Shan You Counselling Centre, which organized this Family Bonding Day for Maha Bodhi School. Therefore students and their families from the school participated in that day's event.

So anyway we were briefed and then sent to our stations. Peyyong and I were stationed at the last checkpoint, which was the furthest from the HQ. ZZZzzz... But then it was a good spot. It was the famous Heritage Tree, the Tembusu tree found on the latest version of our Singaporean $5 note. I attempted to take the exact tree at the exact angle, but couldn't cos there was another tree blocking my view. Therefore this is the best I could do:

We actually waited from 8+ all the way till 10+ for the very first group of families to come to our station. Throughout that period, we were amused by many kids trying to climb the long extended branch ( you call that piece of wood with a diameter bigger than my waist a branch or a trunk?) Peyyong and I were resting on the upper end of the branch while 3 boys tried climbing to the other end. Throughout the whole "journey", one of the kids, who was very vocal and very philosophical, kept saying many things that almost made us fall off the branch. "Just think of the destination" "Going up is easier." "Hey you're in the rugby team! I didn't even join that!" The boy was talking to his friend who was a bit plump and therefore found it harder to climb the branch. They had actually attempted to inch their way to the other side of the branch by pushing their bodies forward while sitting on the branch, just like how you would ride on a horse. The more vocal boy reached the end easily whereas the plump boy needed some "encouragement". LOL At least it made the wait a bit more interesting.

So along came the first group, and then the second, and the third. All almost together. The 2nd groups' parents, especially one of them, was sooooooo kiasu. Why? Cos the 1st group were still playing the game. So I told the parents to just "please wait a moment" and I immediately got a "Just now we were at station 5 and they made us wait, now here also must wait!" Wow those parents sure are typical Singaporeans. And they were told that these games are not competitive. It's Family Bonding Day man, not The Amazing Race. The game at our station is called "Listen To Your Parents". The objective of the game is to get the kids blindfolded, then the parents will guide their kid to manoeuvre around the tembusu tree and finally reach the end of the extended branch. Some parents didn't actually realize that their kid couldn't see at all, yet they pulled their kids along as though they can see what's in front of them. Luckily I was there to make sure nobody got hurt. ZZzzz... All they wanted was to reach the finish line quickly, without caring about the safety of their kids. Woah I make a better parent anyday. Ok not all parents are like that. Most of them guided their kid very well and held their arms and hands and made sure they didn't bump into the tree or trip over a root. And I didn't have a chance to take some pictures cos there were only two of us there to oversee many kids and their parents. At the beginning I told them there will definitely be some who will bump into the tree or something. Luckily nothing like that happened. Haha...

In the midst of the games, an auntie pushing a baby pram with a cage full of colourful birds in it came over to us and chatted with us. She was actually promoting a place called Bollywood Veggies with her brochures. What really attracted all those kids and parents alike was actually just the birds inside the cage.

After all the groups had finished our station. We finally climbed the trees ourselves. To my surprise, I actually found it quite difficult to climb to a higher spot on the tree, whereas earlier a girl went up easily. Gone are those days when I climbed trees as agile as a monkey. Hmm... Took some pictures and then we went around the Garden to snap a few more pictures before joining Siying and Sharon at their station. They were still waiting for their last group to arrive. Finally when the final group finished the game, we all headed to the Symphony Lake for lunch. And then it was all waiting and waiting for the families to finish up their final games at the starting point. We were finally released at around 3pm. Most of the volunteers gathered to take a group picture, however the pictures weren't taken with my camera, therefore I haven't got them now. Shall post them up once I get them from Peiyi.

We walked all the way from the Botanic Garden to Orchard, which explains my Jellyfeet. That's not the worst. We covered a long distance inside the Garden itself. Some more Peiyi, Peyyong and I even travelled to Katong on bus 16 from Orchard. And guess what? I went to Katong 4 times in a span of 2 weeks! And guess what again? I went to Aston's again! Wahaha! I suggested that place again since it was sooo worth it. It was 5pm only, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have dinner at that time. There was no queue at all, hehehe, as compared to the dragon line found after 6pm. I ordered Pork Chop this time.

It's all so worth it for $8.50. Two large pieces of tentalizing pork chop with special gravy, served together with specially seasoned french fries and coleslaw. Aww... So we finished up and then walked over to Katong where they had wanted to exchange SGD for Ringgit. However the rates weren't as good as what Peiyi had gotten just few days earlier, therefore they decided to change their cash later this week. So we then went back home, to rest all our Jellyfeet.

Looong Weekend

The long weekend finally ended. It was a very exciting and interesting long weekend. Just back from dinner at Aston's Specialties at Katong Road. The queue is forever long. Wanted to eat there on Friday but I think the DotA gang guys didn't wanna wait, so we ended up eating Katong Laksa instead. Today we had to wait for about 20 mins before we got a table. Quite fast already, considering that the queue was so long.

This time I didn't order Black Pepper Beef, but Prime Ribeye Extra Cut @ $15.90. The portion was pretty big, I'd say. The succulent beef was just heavenly. おいしいですね! Mummy ordered Black Pepper Beef. Cindy ordered Prime Sirloin. Father ordered Salmon Fillet. I also ordered 2 sets of Cream of Mushroom and one set of Vienna Sausage. The whole dinner combo cost just a bit more than $60. Still the best place for good and cheap western food. Just looking at the pictures again makes me wanna drool already.

20th March 2008, Thursday

Had to rush to Brewerkz to get seats, because phone reservation couldn't be done cos all 40% of the seats allocated for reservation were all snapped up. And Lilin wanted to help me by reaching early too, but alas she failed her mission yet again. Lousy leh hahaha. I even reached Clark Quay station earlier than her. And so I waited for her to arrive before we walked over to Brewerkz. Luckily there were still seats available, however they only had outdoor seats. So the two of us sat there and chatted and waited for everyone to come. The waiter even asked us whether our friends were coming, cos I actually asked for a 10-people seat. The waiters must be thinking these two bastards sit here so long, occupying 10 seats, but not ordering. Hahaha! Hey I was so damn hungry already, but those kids took forever to come. Finally Chester and girlfriend, as well as Don, arrived first, after we waited for like one hour or so. Then the rest of the guys came too. There was Patrick, Zhongming, Chin Keat, Kong Hooi, Yok Hian. I ordered Brewerkz Sausage. Lilin ordered that too, and we chose the 3 different types of sausages available. The spicy one was so hot man. Brewerkz sausage was just so-so. Garlic one, didn't really taste garlic in it. We ate and chatted until 9:30pm or so, before we started walking over to dbl O. Before moving off, we took a group photo, and also one with the 3 of us old guys, Don, Chester and me in it.

I told them that the three of us took some photos outside Brewerkz few years ago too. They don't seem to remember. However I went to search for the pictures again and found them. See how time flies. Luckily we guys still look pretty much the same, right? Or do we exude an air of maturity and manliness now compared to our uni days? Hahaha!

I met Yijie outside Brewerkz, who is now working at Standard Chartered. Cool man. Then on the way to dbl O, I met Weiyi. Both were old AHS pals. Weiyi is now working in an advertising company. Sounds interesting. His workplace is very near dbl O some more.

Charles, Marcus, Guanming, Johnson, Junfeng were there waiting for us already. The few of us then went in to get the chops. I didn't realize that there wasn't any $20 cover before 10pm, cos it was actually the eve of a public holiday, so all cover was $25. Worst still, the girls who came also believed me that there was no cover for girls. So poor Huiwen and Diana who actually came to the doorstep of dbl O, came and chatted with us for a while before going back home. Andy and girlfriend, as well as Ah Liang and Charlene arrived also. Geez next time no more such blunders liao, cos anyway I don't think we'll go back to dbl O ever again. Coz the crowd was like all Malays or little kids (18, 19, early 20s). I see some were like 15 or 16??? Anyway we felt so old already. Last time back in uni it was still ok, but now we all felt a bit out of place already. And so Junie, Kaiyang and Gladys joined us much later.

So altogether there were like almost 20 of us down there. Haven't had such a big outing since uni days. Actually I haven't been clubbing since uni days!! That's why I had the urge to organize such a big gathering for the block. Main objective was to meet up with all the old guys and gals, as well as go CLUBBING. Although the whole clubbing session wasn't really that enjoyable, since Chester and Don, as well as many of the girls and guys didn't join us, but it was nonetheless a good gathering for all of us. However the club was so packed by midnight, I couldn't feel the aircon, if there were any at all in the first place, when I was grooving on the dancefloor. Zouk is much much better man. The juniors went to grab a place at the lounge area, where they opened a bottle of champagne. So we all joined in and had a large 乾杯 session. We also took a large group photo with Junie's camera, however I am unable to upload that picture now cos I still haven't got it from her! Still haven't seen her online since that day. ZZzz... Will be uploading that pic here when I get it from her.

By around 12 midnight, all of us went down to the dancefloor, including the juniors. However, I think due to the boring hip-hop music, plus the sardine-packed dancefloor, and non-existent air-conditioning, the juniors went back to the lounge area quickly. I hung around with the older people for a while before going to the lounge area to check out those juniors. They were playing some puzzles with straws. I joined them for a while before Guanming told me they were leaving, therefore I also left the place. The juniors then all left the place too. Right outside dbl O, Johnson and Junfeng noticed a girl leaning on the railings, looking dazed and about to puke. There were several other guys also noticed that she was unwell and approached her to offer assistance. Seems like all were ready to pick her up, instead of really offering her help. Wahaha! However according to J and J, she was very pretty as well as hot. I didn't really had a good look at her, cos I went back inside the club to get some things from Charles. The girl eventually left on a guy's car. Awww...

So we then left the place and Guanming drove us all back home. What a night. Was almost half-dead when I reached home. Old liao, can't club much already. Ahahah! Actually it's cos everyone had a long day at work, therefore we all got exhausted very early.

21st March 2008, Friday

Woke up at 11am and met Guanming to take bus 15 to Parkway Parade there for brunch. Haven't been to the hawker centre there since primary school days?!? I remembered the last time there was with Marcus, Meiyi and Meiyi's sister. Forgot who else there were. It's like more than 15 years ago at least OMG. Time really flies... I went to find the popular wet Char Kway Teow. It was still there! I immediately ordered a plate. It tasted nothing like the good old days. And it wasn't as wet as before. Most probably it wasn't the same person who cooked by then. Geezz... what a waste. Won't be eating there anymore I guess.

Next up we walked to H.I.G.H and waited for the rest of the guys to arrive. Had a fun afternoon DotAing with the gang, mostly 5v5. Then several people left and it was down to 6 of us. I suggested bringing them to Aston, however I saw the ever-existent super long queue outside the famous restaurant, and therefore told them we should just eat Katong Laksa instead. We had laksa and sat at the restaurant until 8+ before going home. Went home to have a round of GPQ with unXplaineds. Now we defeat Ergoth much much easily. Wahaha. Day 1 of long weekend gone.

22nd March 2008, Saturday

Went to Sim Lim Square to exchange my lousy keyboard. The letter T and number 6 were spoilt. I actually wanted to get my free front USB panel from the shop, Bliss Computers, but I forgot all about it! WTH! It was raining cats and dogs outside and I roamed around SLS until the rain got smaller. Then I walked over to the hawker centre near the Bugis Village and had 杏仁露加汤圆(4pcs) @ $2.40. Tastes so-so only. The one at Ghim Moh market is cheaper and better. I then walked on to Parkview Square, where Junfei's company resides. First time I enter that building. It's the building used by 双天自尊 for filming as the casino. As I escalalted the steps to the main lobby of the building, I noticed several statues of famous people erected by the sides. The whole structure of the building, with all the decorations consisting of statues, fountains etc gives it a feeling of grandeur and luxury. No wonder they used the building as a casino for filming.

I went up to Junfei's company and we talked through our investment policies and stuff until 7pm. Late liao wahhaa. Supposed to meet MKG at Tampines at 7. Therefore we finished up and I went to meet the guys for dinner. We ate at the new Long John's Silver on the top floor of Tampines Mall. Uncle joined us for dinner only and then left when we went to watch Step Up 2: The Streets. Ah-ma brought 2 of her friends along, and so Peyyong, Peiyi, Siying and I all went to watch the movie. I had long wanted to watch this movie cos of the hype and of cos, the most popular hit song at the moment "Low" by Flo-Rida and T-Pain.

Ah-ma told me at the start of the movie that should she be blaming me if the show wasn't nice. Looks like it's definitely a no. The show was just da bomb! It showcased all the wonderful dance moves of those street dancers and professional dancers. Definitely a show worth catching. 4 Stars!

Right at the end of the movie, Ah-ma said she wanted to watch Rule #1, and therefore we thought we might as well watch it then. Hahaha. Movie marathon! And even better. First a "2" movie, then a "1". We should have watched Crows Zero too. LOL. Anyway Rule #1 features Fiona Xie in her maiden role on the big screen. Her voice-over sounded so slutty. Still like her hoarse but cute original voice hahaha. The show wasn't that scary at all. It's just all the irritating sound effects that create a creepy effect, but otherwise it's still quite a horrorless movie. The twist is quite interesting though. Took some time to really figure out the actual meaning of the flow of the story. Not too bad a show either. Give it a 3.5 stars. Worth catching too if you're into horror and suspense. But it was a great evening. Haven't had a movie marathon at the cinemas for a long time. Don't even remember the last time I had one LOL.

Weapons Upgraded!

Finally setup my new system and installed necessary programs into it. Spent almost the whole afternoon and evening cleaning my table, shifting the things around, configuring my pc, downloading, installing programs etc. And just to test out my new system, I downloaded Cabal and installed it. Added Tofu (Yuan Su) into my buddy list, who invited me into his guild, Illuminari. Pretty awesome graphics. Now level 6 already. But I still think the gameplay and interface makes me quite giddy. Don't really like to play games with all the 3D stuff. Just trying out my new graphics card.

Pretty tired now, cos went for tennis with Boon Leong and Kim Mong. Haven't seen Kim Mong for ages, but he still looks the same. Haven't played tennis for decades, and I'm even noober than before. Wahaha! And I got tired easily, even cycling to Boon Leong's place was pretty exhausting for me. Argh old liao! Last time cycle around Singapore also no kick. ZZZzzz...

14th March 2008, Friday

Went to DSTA: Big boss gave a little speech before handling us our bonus letters. What a waste of time. Haha!

Went to DotA: First time I drove there, cos one reason was Guanming was already at H.I.G.H and couldn't drive me there. Another was I had to meet up those guys at 12 noon the next day and I thought I should just drive there myself and don't join them for supper after the games, so that I reach home earlier and can sleep more. Usually I will end up reaching home at 7am on Saturday morning.

15th March 2008, Saturday

Met up with Jiahao and Wing Kin to explore a new place, called Old School. It was actually a school which got converted into office space, restaurant, shops and a photo exhibition gallery called 2902 Gallery. Our motive to go there was for the photo exhibition. Jiahao just got a DSLR and is very enthusiastic about photography now, plus we just happened to see some advertisements talking about photo exhibitions at the Old School, therefore we decided to go there to take a look. Kinda interesting place. The photo exhibition is the 2nd such exhibition organized by 2902 Gallery. The next one starts on the 4th of April, so I guess we'll be going there again. The whole of Old School gives a feeling of art is in the air, haha! And I think i'll be quite a nice place to chill out at night. Maybe can try going there at night and see how it's like.

After walking around the place, we went for lunch at this Malay restaurant right outside Labyrinth. I always see lots of people dining there and wondered whether it's cos of their food. I ordered chicken bryani @ $4.50. Tastes pretty good. A huge serving of yellow rice and half a chicken in thick curry sauce. Heavenly!

After lunch we went on to Sim Lim Square, where Hongming met us to walk around together. I eventually bought a whole new system: Core 2 Duo E8200 processor with MSI motherboard, 2GB RAM, POV 8500GT graphics card, 160GB HDD. Haven't bought a new pc since year 1 or 2 in uni. Finally got a new desktop after so long. My lappy's parts are already coming out. Jiahao and Wing Kin also got their own stuff. Hongming merely tagged along to see see. After all the shopping, Jiahao and I took bus 23 home. I had to use one hand to carry the CPU with all the stuff in it, while the other hand carrying a plastic bag with all the leftovers like keyboard, mouse, speakers, empty boxes etc. Luckily it wasn't too long a distance from the bus-stop back to my doorstep, but it was rather tiring nevertheless. Mummy was dumbfounded when she realized I actually carried everything back by bus. Haha.

My Poor Ayumi-chan

Saw a video of her singing my latest favourite song of hers "MY ALL" on YouTube. So sadzzz T.T She's apparently very much affected by her loss of hearing in her left ear. Singing went out of tune already. That's why she kept crying throughout the song. =( Think must go to her concert soon before she starts losing all sense of hearing and can no longer perform on stage anymore. But I sure hope it doesn't happen. =( Poor Ayumi-chan.

Anyway just back from gym session at Boon Leong's place. We took a break of 3 weeks before doing our 2nd session today. I remembered my muscles ached like hell for several days after that first session. Even had trouble steering the wheel on my way back home. Today I didn't really feel much aching. Looks like my muscles getting used to it already. I gotta take IPPT soon, must start training up my 2.4km also. Argh! Hate 2.4km!

What A Relief!

Yokatta! And I thought my latest Ayumi Hamasaki album "Guilty" was missing. I don't remember lending it to anyone. It's actually hidden in one small corner of the CD rack in the living, which I've never actually looked into its contents before. Mummy had conveniently chucked the CD box into one of the many slots of the rack. I tried searching through the rack but couldn't find it yesterday. ZZZzzz... After rummaging through the whole of my room, the living room TV cabinets, CD racks. I still couldn't find it. Therefore I decided to take out ALL my stuff inside my cabinet containing my CDs and other rubbish, just in case my Ayu CD was hidden inside. It wasn't there, but I made use of the chance to reorganize the treasures and garbage in the super ultra messy interior of the cabinet.

Guess what? I found so many unlabeled CDs which I have absolutely no idea what was inside them. Found plenty of old CDs containing many memories too. It's amazing how much rubbish one can generate throughout his/her lifetime.

Anyway I read about this 7 "deadly" sins of our time on Today newspaper. Found it interesting. Here are the 7 "deadly" sins of our time:

1. condemning genetic modification
2. experiments on humans
3. environmental pollution
4. causing social injustice (like what Edison did?)
5. poverty (no money also a sin?)
6. obscene wealth (obscene? how?)
7. taking drugs

Compare this with the 6-century list by Pope Gregory:
1. envy
2. gluttony
3. greed
4. lust
5. wrath
6. pride
7. sloth (replaced sadness during the 17th century) (huh? being sad also a sin? I must have sinned many times then! .... )

Looks like there could be a new movie soon called The New Seven" or "Seven 2"?

Watched 10000BC in 2008AD

Today the few of us (it's the 5 of us again! same as badminton at Bedok CC), Uncle, Peiyi, Peyyong, Siying and me, went to Leisure Park Kallang to watch 10000BC. I suggested that place since it's newly renovated and therefore should be quite refreshing to go somewhere new.

I met Alan on bus 69 and we chatted all the way to Kallang MRT station where I got off. He's going to the IT show, with no particular item to shop for. Then I met up with the guys and we took bus 11 to LPK. The whole interior was totally different from the old Kallang Leisure Park, and pretty empty too. In fact most shops weren't open yet. We immediately went to grab our tickets for the 5:20pm show.

The show was quite alright. Plenty of CG, quite a bit of suspense, plenty of action, and lots of people wearing quite little. Too bad most were men. LOL Then the lead actress is very pretty in fact. Very sharp features. She's Camilla Belle. Haven't heard of her though. The movie is quite ok I guess. I would give it a 3.5/5. The scene of thousands of slaves and mammoths working around the whole empire was pretty awesome. Wonder how long it took to generate such massive display of CG.

We walked around LPK after the show. Then I went to Latendo, the shop selling figurines which moved from Sunshine Plaza quite recently. This shop was much bigger than the old one, with several large cabinets displaying probably thousands of figurines. How I wish I could own a few more sets, but too bad my room cabinet is already overcrowded with Naruto, Bleach and Dragonball figurines already. Can't expand anymore. We then took a shuttle bus back to Kallang MRT station and we walked to Geylang for dinner.

We had Oyster Omelette, Beef Kway Teow, Fried Kway Teow, and later on, Rochor Tau Huey. As we walked along Geylang, we saw many people roaming around the streets. It's a Sunday night man, don't these guys need to work tomorrow? The whole road was still pretty lively and full of activity. We walked all the way to a bun shop and almost wanted to eat. Still feeling a bit hungry, but the rest of them didn't wanna eat anymore, so we then walked to Paya Lebar MRT and went home. That's all for today.

7th March 2008, Friday

Wing Kin, Yew Kwee, Tat Yeong and I went to the IT Show at Suntec. It's only Friday night but it's already freaking crowded. I read on some websites that there were many pretty model babes in the show, however I couldn't really see any at all. Maybe all went for dinner already. ZZZzzz... I was looking for a new desktop, while the rest of them were getting laptops or RAMs. Somehow today was another run-into-friends day. I saw Kairen(AHS schoolmate/FDS campmate) selling his insurance products at one corner, saw Shuling (Hall 4 Blk 22 mate) giving out leaflets of her friends' new business outside the exhibition halls, saw Kah Keong (SCE junior), saw Philip (Hall 4 mate) at Marina Square, saw Faizal (TPJC classmate) at Marina Square, who actually was shopping with a Chinese girlfriend, saw Siying (MKG) at City Hall MRT. My DSO colleagues were stunned to see me meeting so many friends on that day LOL.

The IT show was, as expected, full of the latest gadgets that most Singaporeans are dying to acquire. We spent most of our time at the level 3 hall, looking for our items. That level was selling mostly laptops. I think by now everyone should be owning a laptop already, instead of the everyone owns a desktop era. Didn't find any really good deals for a desktop, from the fact that there weren't many desktops being sold at all. There were also many super large LCD screens and digicams for sale. After walking around a bit at the level 4 hall, we then went for dinner at Marina Square before we headed for home.

Can You Call Me? Part 2

Was told by Andrew that the girl actually called that guy! And she was actually encouraged by her mother to do so! They actually chatted for one hour! And guess what? She's got a boyfriend already! OMG! Women are soooo..... Ok not all...but some of them really are @#$%^&*. But then as heard from Andrew, the girl said that the guy said he was playing golf at Okinawa when she called him. Sounds a bit unbelievable. Maybe he really is some rich guy. Who knows... Oh well. At least we all know that "Can you call me?" actually works. Wahaha!

Just Another Wednesday?

After work, Wing Kin and I went to VivoCity to meet up with Kah Wai and Kong Cheow for dinner. WK was looking for a new Sarah Brightman CD, therefore we searched for CD shops at Vivo. We went to one of the CD shops at level two, but he couldn't find the CD, therefore we went to the directory to look for any other CD shops. Did you know there was a Sembawang in Vivo? So we went there, together with KC, who joined us later. The Sembawang CD shop was at the very ulu corner of the whole of Vivo. The moment we made a right turn at the corner, the whole area of totally empty. And the moment we went into the shop, we really saw just a CD shop by itself. There were only two customers in the shop. Holy cow. Maybe it's a weekday, so maybe we shouldn't expect too many customers. Hmm.... However to WK's dismay, the CD is out of stock! LOL! KW joined us later, and then we decided to choose Dian Xiao Er for dinner. The food wasn't that fantastic, and we only ordered dishes comprising fish, duck, veggies and tofu, but the final bill amounted to nearly $90. Holy sheep!

Over dinner, KW told us of his cousin who just got married. He mentioned that Mr. Goh Chok Tong was invited to their wedding dinner! Holy fish! KW's female cousin is a lawyer, and the husband is also a lawyer, so perhaps it isn't too surprising to see an Ex-PM at their wedding dinner. However, we were told that the husband is actually an Indian guy. Even the elder sister of the bride is seeing a Caucasian currently. Hmm... So all the Chinese girls are married to non-Chinese guys, so Chinese guys marry who?

After dinner, KW suggested going to Pacific Coffee to lim kopi. We chose a nice area with comfy sofas. I ordered a Hazelnut Steamed Milk. The aromatic smell of the milk was sooo nice. And it tasted just fine. Cool stuff. So we slacked there for an hour or so before we kena "chased out" by the staff cos they were closing. Reached home at almost 11:30 OMG. What a tiring day... Tomorrow still got work!? Argh!

Mr. Famous

Got this email from my company mailbox. Looks like this thing is circulated everywhere. If Edison's pictures were circulated like this, how awesome? LOL! Nothing better to do...so decided to post this picture here. I've even printed out a copy and pasted it in our office whiteboard. Wahaha!

Can You Call Me?

Only my DSO colleagues will recognize this line. Ahahaha!

Anyway been down with flu, cough, fever, headache, sore throat etc etc for the past one week. Therefore been too lazy to update. Took like three days of MC! Slack at home for many days already. Been sleeping a lot and watching a lot of Naruto. And finally managed to chiong to a Crossbowmaster on Sunday. I had wanted to make a nice video for my 4th job advancement for Sniper, but my stupid Fraps somehow did not manage to record. HaizZZzz... Therefore I merely took screenshots of my glorious moment. And Ron also purposely logged in to give me a Mega. Thanks Ron! As I then continued hunting for my skills, I found that I may not even decide to retire my Crossbowmaster at all. Wahahah! The skills were too damn awesome! And immediately after getting my two skills, I already had more than 10% of experience! 121 here I come!

Alright enough about games. More about our title of the day. As our colleagues know, one of the DSO guys, Andrew, is a very interesting fellow. One look at him and you might think he's in his 20s, but in actual fact, he's in his late 30s already. And he's been very westernized as can be heard from his accent. He told us of this incident whereby he was having lunch with his wife and her two female friends at Raffles Hotel. Then some guy came over to one of the friends and passed a piece of paper and said something along the line of "Can you call me?" and then walked off. Andrew said that all four of them were stunned at that moment and it was also his first time he actually witnessed such a move, as we often hear from other people. And this thing was the topic of the day for the whole of our lunchtime and even after we returned to the office. LOL
