TINTIN! And NSM on Christmas!

It's Museums Day! Nutnut joined us for this trip to the Singapore Philatelic Museum and Singapore Art Museum. There was a TINTIN exhibition at the SPM which was absolutely free. Same for a Dreams & Reality exhibition at the SAM. Museums are fun and interesting! And it was Christmas Day! We got a whole day of exciting activities planned for the day.

Swarovski stamps! With crystals!

Even glow-in-the-dark ones!

 And The Simpsons.

These were used on letters in the past.

What expectations? That the receiver will send a reply?

Momo dear's very own stamp!

Me too! But we're worth only 100 cents!

When was the last time you played hopscotch?

What has these elephants gotta do with stamps?

Dear posting a love letter to who?!

Used an old out-of-ink typewriter and typed out a message. Can you read it?

MOMORANGE WAS HERE!

And now for the main reason we were there...

If you haven't read any Tintin books, you don't have a childhood!

Next up was the Dreams & Reality exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore. As you can see from the picture below, it's an exhibition containing paintings, drawings and photographs. Most of them are replicas of the real ones done by artists like Van Gogh.

I love this pic. Can be used as a commercial ad or something.

Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.

Do you see a shika in the pic?

Some art installation made up of giant balloons.
Dear is always excited when she sees balloons.

We then went on to 112 Katong to look for dinner. Ended up at a Korean restaurant nearby suggested by Nutnut. Over-ordered. Ended with three little pigs walking out of the restaurant. We also got some Awfully Chocolate Christmas cakes. Yummy!

Can't remember the names of the dishes we ordered, but there was bibimbap, rice cakes as you can see from the pictures above. Overall a great place for Korean food. Nice!

After the meal, we were so full that we decided to walk all the way along Still Road until we reach the bus-stop with bus 15 where we took the bus back home. A nice stroll against the breeze after a hearty meal. That's enjoying life!
