September Looming

Wow before you know it, it's gonna be Christmas again. Scary! Just had my 7th RT session today. It's the trial 2.4km run. Holy shit the weather was so hot, everyone's timing got screwed. I also started stitching on the 5th round. Jialat. In the end walked a bit on the last round and got a timing of 14mins hahaha! Let's hope nothing like this happens on the actual IPPT this coming Thursday...

28th August 2010, Saturday

Watched "Step Up 3D" with Nic at Iluma. We wanted to watch the non-3D version but the almost empty theatre when I checked few hours earlier suddenly became almost full when we went down to buy the tix just 30mins before the show. In the end we settled for the 3D version. And as I expected, the 3D wasn't very convincing or fascinating. It's $14 for the 3D version some more! And worse of all, I think Step Up 2: The Streets, is way better than the 3rd one. Probably due to the groovy tunes of Flo-Rida's infectious "Low", as well as JabbaWockeeZ appearing in the show. This 3rd movie wasn't as memorable and the dance choreography was not as interesting as the ones in part 2. However the last dance in which the main cast were dishing out their last battle in luminated costumes was quite awesome. Wonder if it can be done in real life or it's some computer graphics. 3 stars for this movie.

I went to look for the GIP guys (Alan, KW, HS, Kim) and we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant at Bugis Junction basement called 红锅. Its signature dishes were noodles in large red bowls called 招牌米线,状元米线, so we all ordered either of these two to try, as well as some side dishes. The soup was very tasty, and the noodles were just nice, not too hard or too soft. The waitress would dump the little saucers' ingredients into the big red bowl in front of us one by one. Actually nothing very interesting about the whole process. We ordered some sticks of meat, forgot what kinda meat it was haha, which reminded us of the times we ate those 羊肉串 on the roadsides on a winter night back in Beijing during our GIP days. ET joined us after we finished our dinner and we went to TCC once again to finish up our last $20 vouchers lol. They then went to catch Grown Ups, with Nana joining them, while I went home instead cos I didn't feel like watching that movie lol.
Notice got special lighting? They were using my iPhone's camera light to light up this dessert!Kim was forced by me to put on her helmet for me to take a pic ahaha.
