She Wolf

Shakira's out with a new album and single both called "She Wolf". Kinda different from all her previous songs. Although it's a very short song (3mins 7s), but the tune is kinda catchy. I like the part where she goes "Owoooooo...". LOL! She-wolf indeed. I'm sure many guys don't mind being bitten by such a she-wolf lol.
Oh I went to watch the Arsenal vs Man Utd match at a some open air pub called The Chamber, but it's actually at Robertson Walk. We had planned to meet up to catch the match with some of Eileen's and Aaron's friends there. Nicholas also joined us in the end. Arshavin delivered an awesome shot to give a one goal lead in the first half. In the end a Rooney penalty and an own goal by Diaby gave Man Utd a 2-1 win at Old Trafford! What a dramatic finish when at the 95th min, there was supposed to be a goal, but the referee had already gave the offside whistle. Holy cow! What luck Man Utd has. Arsenal lost to bad luck lol. After the match, we left the place and Nicholas suggested having supper at some ramen restaurant, but it was closed by the time we reached the place. So we walked to Cineleisure for Shokudo. He also recommended the Mushroom Cheese burger. Ok it's pretty nice indeed, but too heavy as supper. Hahaha. Eat until wanna puke. Drank 1.5 Heineken and 1 Kilkenny before that too. Lucky din puke lol.

Next Up: The Room

I met up with Claire, Jennifer and Jacelyn for dinner at the V8 Movies Cafe at Bugis Junction. It's been a long time since I met the two J's. Wah lucky I made reservations, cos the place was fully occupied by the time we reached there. After dinner we went to Iluma to check out the tickets for the show The Orphan, but because it was rather late, so we didn't watch it. But we ended up watching a 360 degrees 3D short movie at the arcade on the top floor. They didn't want to watch the seemingly horror show called The Room, therefore we chose the dinosaur one instead. LOL it was quite an interesting short movie. They actually include blowing air from somewhere around the theatre to simulate some actions in the movie. Kinda cool but I think $5 for just 7 to 10mins if quite boliao hahaha. I wanted to try The Room but seems like they aren't willing to take the risk of being scared stiff. LOL nvm next time shall get braver souls to venture into The Room with me.

We then went for dessert at Liang Seah Street. Almost all the 3 dessert shops were fully packed, but we managed to get a table at the Tong Shui Cafe. We talked cok until 12 midnight, and then decided to go for Rochor Tow Huay! Hahaha! Eat and talk and eat and talk. So we slowly walked to my usual supper joint and finally we left for home at almost 2am. Damn tired by then... and I still walked back to Bugis there to take my NR7 back. Almost halfdead hahaha.

Cosplay Weekend!

It's the Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention 2009! Held at Suntec over 3 days open to public FREE, it was a massive event. I went there on both Sat and Sun. Sat was the movie-themed cosplay competition whereas Sun was anime-themed. Simply awesome! Went with several people like Tat Yeong, Wing Kin , Kong Cheow. Li Teng and Nicholas were also there to have shooting spree too. And I met Li Teng for dinner before going back to meet Nicholas to finish off some final shots. Now let the pix do the talking:

14th August 2009, Friday

Kah Wai jioed us to go Manhattan Fish Market for dinner cos he had vouchers. In the end he forgot to bring it! *faint* There was Wing Kin, Kong Cheow, Jiahao, Kah Wai and me. We then hung around Iluma. We went to the arcade on the top floor and played those old arcades machines where you get tickets which can be used to exchange for prizes hahah. Also visited the LAN gaming arena. Fwah looks great. But kinda expensive $3.80 for public at peak hours. We then went to catch Up in 3D. Wow super touching and exciting storyline. However I think $13 is a bit too much to pay for a movie. This is MADNESS! LOL... But it's a great date movie cos it's fun, touching and entertaining. Worth watching if not for the 3D.

Meteor "Shower"? More like Meteor "Piss" wahaha!

Even "Piss" is too strong a word. Should be "spit". Wahahah! Cos the few of us only managed to see at most 5 or 6 meteorite shooting across the clear sky. The only thing the hinders our vision was the bright Singapore skyline. Clifton picked me and Jacenta up and drove us to the Tampines dirt bike trail, as I suggested to go there to try our luck. It seemed that we couldn't really see anything, plus the fact that I got bitten several times by commando mosquitoes just by standing there for a few minutes, we quickly went to search for a better place. Clifton then drove us to Punggol Marina area, but still it was a bad idea. We then finally settled at ECP, the furthest end nearer to Changi. There we sat at a little jetty and watched. We sat there for more than an hour waiting for that short moment of joy. Clifton was the first to witness that split-second flash across the sky. Then Jacenta too. I was going hysterical as I didn't manage to see anything. Alas there was a VERY obvious flash of light across the sky that all of us saw the beautiful trail danced swiftly through the sky like a spark going off and disappearing within less than a second. Altogether we saw a few other dimmer ones, as we spent our time just lazing around there until 4am+. Nuts! Got work the next day. Gonna be zombified. That's the end of our Perseid Meteor Shower adventure.

Happy Birthday to Mummy

She's 54 today! Everyone took leave and went for dinner at Senki Japanese Restaurant as recommended by her colleagues. I worked for half a day before clearing a half day to then go to get a durian cake for her. As usual she'll be delighted if there's a cake waiting for her on her birthday. Then we also brought Dai Yee along and we went to this Japanese restaurant along Killiney Road. Just a small area but with two storeys. Seems like it's quite popular. By 7pm the whole restaurant was full, and it's only a weekday. Costs about $38.84 after tax per person. The food variety? Awesome! And tastes great too. So let's let the pictures do the talking.

iJelly

Nah... just my legs. Still feeling lazy to move around after the 12-hour nite cycling trip. Previously I organized this cycling for MKG people because Ah-Ma wanted to try nite cycling, but in the end they never turn up for any nite cycling events I organized. *faint* Therefore I extended the invitation to other friends.

This time a different group of people turned up, as compared to last year's. Almost everyone else were either busy or last minute fly aeroplane. Ok whatever. As least there's still 4 of us. I went to get a new water-bottle for my bike, as well as a seat cushion. Nice! Now my butt doesn't hurt as much as before hahah. I met up with Clifton and Shirley and we then proceeded to the Bedok Camp hawker centre. Zhunzhun Zhangjing just finished his RT and bumped into me. Hahaha! So we then sat down and had dinner together. We shared our favourite beef lasagne as usual. And as usual the chengteng store had a super long queue, therefore I couldn't grab my hands on a bowl of the coveted dessert. Damn!.
So ZJ went home while we continued cycling down to ECP, where Jacenta, Clifton's ex-colleague, joined us. She then rented a bike and we started our nite cycling as planned. We went according to my planned route, and ended up at Lau Pa Sat for our first water break. Seeing that we don't know the route to the Marina Barrage, we decided to just go ahead and aim for Henderson Waves. It was the first time I actually saw the bridge from the bottom. So we then took a few pictures before going back down and went on to Alexandra Arch. This time I actually reached it before the lights went out. So we took plenty of pix and rested for quite a while there. Then the clock struck 12 midnight and the lights went out. It was total darkness except for the moonlight and once again I led my group of cyclists through the winding path amidst the forest. We reached the end of the Forest Walk after pushing our bikes for like 15 minutes or so. Then we took a short rest before heading to Henderson Waves. Once again it was an awesome view and we hung around there for quite some time taking lotsa pix too.

Next up was supper! We reached the end of the bridge and Clifton decided that we take the staircase route to Telok Blangah Heights. We had to push our bikes down a long flight of staircase. Finally we reached the bottom and Clifton took the lead to bring us to a hawker centre where his friend recommended a Yong Tau Hoo shop. But by the time we reached the place, there wasn't much food left, therefore he took us to another place near Tiong Bahru Plaza. It was also Yong Tau Hoo. Shiokz! Eat until we all couldn't move. Partly because we were freaking tired too. Then Clifton brought us to the condo just beside the Yong Tau Hoo shop, which he actually had access to it because his cousin stays there. We then rested amongst the chairs next to the swimming pool amidst the gentle breeze of the night. Awesome.

We rested for about 2 hours before going all the way back to ECP. Had McDonald's breakfast. Shiokz! And then it was back to the Family Corner bike shop for Jacenta to return her bike. We then cycled back home, relieved that the journey has finally ended. Went into concussion from 10+ to 5pm lol.

Freebies Anyone?

Just got referred by Huiru to register as a Fr3b member. Sounds cool. Free samples to try before you actually try them, delivered right to your door-step. But then it all looks like skincare products, which are mostly for girls. I think there's SK-II products too, which are the top most requested samples. Intro to your friends, girlfriends, mothers, sisters, grandmothers. We want them to look good right? Of course, list me as your referrer hehe.

Old Classmates New Discoveries

Met up with Wenhan, Guangxiang, Serina and Weiming for dinner at Tampines 1. As usual we'll talk about those good old days back in secondary school, and update about each others' latest news etc. We went to the Mac at Tampines interchange after dinner because the dinner at F.I.S.H wasn't filling enough. Never go there for dinner! Expensive yet not fulfilling... We got some nugget meals and drinks and continued talking cock there until we decided to draw up our class seating arrangement. It was worse than playing Sudoku as we were trying very hard to remember who sat at which chair etc. In the end we managed to come up with a final conclusion, but we will need everyone in our class to validate the answer hahaha.
When I got home, I found Garick's homepage which had a list of our names and then I found out that we missed out one person from our class! Mr. Teo Zhiwei! Hahah poor thing. Wonder why all of us forgot about him.

3rd August 2009, Sunday

Back to English hahaha. I slept for only one and a half hours before waking up at 4:30am to get ready and move off. Peyyong then drove over to pick Peiyi, Sharon, Siying and me up to Huimin's house. The other sisters were already there preparing the sabotage stuff. We then hung around until Albert and the brothers arrived. So it was chaos and loads of fun too until everything was over at 7+. We then went over to their new home at The Premiere. I can almost fall asleep anywhere by then. Since my duty as a backup videographer was over after the door-bashing was completed, I rushed home for breakfast and caught some 3 hours of sleep before I got up for lunch and some more last minute revision. Cham liao loh so many things to cover but not enough time to finish. So I then went for the exam, and then went straight down to Rasa Sentosa Resort at Sentosa. Took the free shuttle bus from HarbourFront that takes us all the way to the hotel. Then I went in to help Uncle for the slide-shows and stuff. It was pretty much a smooth ride for the whole evening, with a few unnoticeable hiccups, but it was all in safe hands of some of our MKG people. Peyyong and Peiyi were the MCs for the night and they created quite a few funny moments. Albert was of course the best of all with his very entertaining impromptu speech lol. Hmm too tired to elaborate further. Will edit and post a short video that I took for today's events soon.
