Happy Deepavali!

Woohoo my first holiday happens just two days after I start work! It's Deepavali! Dear had planned for us to go to The Line @ Shangri-La for the lunch buffet promotion @ $29++ per pax. Great deal! So we brought Nut Nut along since it's her birthday, as well as my parents.

It's been several years since we last stepped into Shangri-La. Nothing much has changed except for the carpark lol. We then proceeded to The Line. Fwah really nice decor and the food were laid out beautifully. Got the usual sashimi, sushi, pizzas, Chinese dishes like gongbao chicken, sauteed veggies, even prata, laksa, wanton noodles, fresh seafood like cold prawns, crabs, mussels, sweet pastries, teh tarik, ice kachang, ice-cream etc etc. Really damn worth it during this promotion. However I would think twice during normal prices of $49++ lol. Overall a nice experience. Could hardly move after the meal.

And So Here We Go On Another Journey

Not we lah, but me. Who can imagine this is my third company within a year? Yes today is my first day at Golden Agri-Resources Ltd., situated all the way at Pasir Panjang. In fact, I am under the employment of Golden Agri International Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of GAR lol. And I have to take a bus, 3 different trains, walk for another 5 mins to reach my workplace. Holy crap! The good thing is, if I get a car, the parking lot at my workplace is free. Hmm... Time to get a car soon?

Another good thing is, I can go to work with Dear again. It's just 3 more Circle Line stops after HarbourFront MRT station, so we're very near each other. Going home is easy too, cos we can take train to Boon Keng and then take 23 all the way home. Many options for me to go home actually, but all depends on the traffic conditions.

Today was a start learning already day. The moment I stepped in, my teammate, who was here just one month ago or so, guided me on some of the processes that he is currently doing. And I'm expected to take over by Friday cos he's going for reservist! WTF! Only left with two days to take over his stuff. Hongganz... Our other teammate is a girl who has been with the company for less than a year. So is our secretary. We all sit in a square of desks, and beside me is an empty table, supposed for the new guy coming next week, and in front of him is the Bloomberg terminal. That's our Risk Management department. Our direct boss has gone to Jakarta for a meeting and will be back later in the week. The HR lady brought me around to introduce and shake EVERYONE's hand in the afternoon. Even the cleaning/pantry aunties, receptionist, dispatch drivers, but just introducing them to me only lah, no handshakes. And I noticed tonnes of empty desks. The company is expanding rapidly. Interested people please email me your resume and I'll forward it to my HR lol.

Let's hope my next two weeks or so would be fine, cos my senior won't be around and I will have to take over all his current processes. Holy shyt!

Outpro liao!

Yes it's the last day of ICT. Today was a totally boliao day cos we booked in at 745am and slacked all the way to 12pm or so before S3 addressed us and gave out certs and stuff. Then we had the lunch catering and then got out of BBH to then out of PLAB. Woohoo! 5 cycles down 5 more to go!

Should update on my ICT happenings, especially the 3D2N outfield. This is the most tiring and siong ICT out of my 5 ICTs so far. Crapz. Now back still aching. My fingertips still feel numb or something. Dunno what happened. Must have been bitten by poisonous spiders during the outfield!
