End of May

5 months have passed. How fast. It's the last day of May! And soccer season is over. Boring...

Yesterday met up with Yaokun, Siying, Peyyong and Nicholas at Siglap for dinner. We ate at the Yong Tau Hoo place. Kinda expensive for a big plate of Yong Tau Hoo. They did it fried style. The taste isn't too bad. But too ex to make me go back again.
We then went on to the Cheesecake Cafe at the end of the road. I always hear people talking about that place and was wondering what's so attractive about it. Hmm the interior looks so lavishly decorated with plenty of European style statues, figurines, paintings and ornaments. We didn't dine in cos YK had to go dabao food for his dear at her workplace. So we just dabao-ed some cheesecake and went down to Tanjong Pagar area where YK did his job while we proceeded to the Harry's Bar in the vicinity. We then exchanged pictures and even went through the whole collection of Nicholas' monstrous volume of pictures, just to let YK see what he missed out on our Tioman trip. LOL after going through the 1500+ pictures, we concluded that YK DID actally join us on our trip, and he almost fell asleep along the process.

It was then about time for YK to send his dear home, so the four of us went on down to the Mac at Clarke Quay to continue exchanging our pictures, animes, movies etc. Saw Chye Heng there playing Magic cards with a few friends. We then decided to watch Monsters vs. Aliens and then rushed down to Lido to catch the 11:45pm show. Wah first time I tried watching a movie in 3D. And had to pay $13 for it. Hmm kinda interesting cos the last time I watched a 3D movie was at Sentosa or Disneyland, but it wasn't really at a cinema. The 3D effects were so realistic. Luckily I didn't get any motion sickness and could enjoy the whole movie without feeling nauseous. It was quite a funny movie with plenty of action. Certainly worth watching. And I decided that in future if I were to watch another movie which have the 3D version, I'll DEFINITELY watch the 3D version instead of the normal one. So cool the effects!

Today after Japanese lesson, Jiahao, Yew Hwee and I then met up with Edwin and Wing Kin for dinner. We decided to eat at Shokudou. Hmm not too bad the food. And I ordered pasta, while YH and JH ordered curry rice. Wow their curry rice looks good and well worth the money. Next time I shall order curry rice to try too.
We then went for desserts at Liang Seah street before going to the Book Fair at Suntec. Wah disappointing fair. Nothing much to see. Saw Tat Yeong there instead lol. And the best thing is, Edwin bought a kite worth $20, at a BOOK FAIR. Dots...

2 Weeks Already

So fast sia. I've been working at Citi for two weeks already!?

Anyway yesterday Sharon and I went for lunch together at Swensen's at TM. Eat until can't move lol. Guess what. The price for our final bill, if bought System roll, would have won Starters prize, as well as the last 4 digits of my IC no. reversed, would have won 2nd prize, for the day's 4D draw. T_T.... no luck at all. Back in the office, some of them knew it was my birthday and got me a small cake out of courtesy haha. So paiseh. Anyway we then eat up 3/4 of the cake and I brought the rest home for supper lol.

Oh and the night earlier, I took some SSs with Dajie and J. Wahaha. Photoshopped pic.

Super Sunday

Super Tiring Sunday, that is.

Woke up in the morning to go for a haircut. Then rushed down to Novotel at Clarke Quay for the wedding lunch of Jiagen and his wife, Binny. I think the last time I went there was for Sia Leong's wedding dinner, and I remembered the dinner wasn't very good. Hmm this time the lunch menu seems quite better.
Anyway I sat at our GIP table consisting of Alan, Hock Sing, Eng Tat, Naizhu, Jianshun, Wenyao, Nana and me. Kim had to fly for work at the very last minute and therefore couldn't join us. I dunno who the last person for our table was. Anyway I met Meng Teck of Blk 22, as well as Weixian (ex-workplace friend) there. And so our very first GIP person to get married is Jiagen. Who's next?
Anyway the pace for the dishing out of dishes was quite fast. Almost after we took one round of each dish, the waiter will then clear the remaining onto a separate and proceeded to remove the original plate. Diao... And within a span of just two hours, the whole wedding lunch was completed. Fast sia!
And right after the lunch, I then proceeded to my Japanese class. Reached there just in time for the lesson hohoho. Quite tired already sia. Another Kanji test next week! Die!

Then straight after lessons, I walked over to Suntec to meet up the NTU-SCE gang of Ron and Qin, Hock, Cong and gf, Sim, and Ru. We decided to have dinner at MOS. It's been almost a year since we met up. And the latest developments sure kinda shocked all of us. Cong is getting married! Woots. Looks like Ru is next too lol.

So we hung around after dinner before Hock left and Edwin joined us. Then Cong and gf went to the bridal roadshow to order their wedding photo shoots. Wow everything happen so quickly. Almost unbelievable. Hohoho... Then we left for home

Hmm...

Dunno what title to put. First day at Citibank. Hehe... Saw that Benjamin from Blk 22 is actually just a few metres away from me. Different teams though. Perm job? NOLAH. Just do for a short duration while I continue job-hunting. The only good thing about this current job is that it's SO near home hahaha. Other than that, there's no other thing that interests me. =/

Oh I just watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine last Friday with those Ex-DSO colleagues at Iluma. Nice! Hmm but the only fascinating part was when Wolverine and Sabretooth were fighting Weapon XI. Other than that, nothing much really. And do stay till the end of the show for some more extras! But don't come and complain to me if you think I wasted your time hahaha!

Better Update More, Otherwise More People Fall Asleep

The weather is freaking hot these days. Or otherwise it'll pour unexpectedly. Crazy sia. Right now my room feels like a sauna.

6th May 2009, Wednesday

Charles jioed several of us for a drinking session at Ice Cold Beer. Wow 8 people turned up. Quite unexpected to see such a big turn-out even though it's just a normal Wednesday night. There was Chester, ZM, Wilson, JJ, ZC, MQ, Charles and me. The place fullhouse sia. And we only managed to get a row of seats at the bar counter. We got two bottles of Heineken each at $12 for 2. The bartender so funny...need to place all the bottles in one row as seen from the picture. Then in one quick motion, removed the cap for all the bottles. Quite interesting lah, but he took so much time to place the bottles nicely in one straight row. *faint* We left quite early cos everyone needed to work the next day, except me zzz.

Tioman = Redang - 2

Yeah just back from a trip to Tioman Island. Tired man... The traveling took about 24hrs to and fro. WTF!

1st May 2009, Friday (Labour Day)

I didn't sleep the whole night, cos I had to wake up at 4+am anyway. Therefore I stayed up to play game until it was time to go. Went to grab a cab and picked up Peiyi, Nicholas and Peyyong, then we proceeded to Golden Mile to meet up with the rest of the people.

Our coach was scheduled to leave at 6am, but then eventually it left at 6:30am. So we then took the coach all the way to Mersing, and then a ferry which took two hours or so to reach Tioman Island. It was a different experience from the time I reached the shores of Redang Island. The scenery and the waters pale in comparison to that of Redang. Disappointed >_< but then no use comparing lah. Just enjoy a good time with friends, that's good enough. I shall update on my travel blog instead. Stay tuned!
