Start of Week 2!

Wow...time passes so quickly without you noticing. It's my second Monday at my new workplace. Yeah I'm now working at The Bank of Nova Scotia, or Scotiabank, situated at One Raffles Quay. Yea first time working in the CBD. Hate the sardine trains and crowded eateries everywhere. Still prefer the not-so-crowded Changi Business Park, although it's still damn packed (with ANs some more). Have been having lunch with Wei Loon, a Malaysian guy who is with another department. My department has only 7 people, including myself. And all are aunties with kids, except for a younger girl who is getting married next month. Omg what a young environment. I'm back to the situation of being one of the youngest in my workplace (like when I was at DSO). Wonder how long I can last working there ahahhaa!

15th April 2011, Friday

They decided to go for a KTV session before our drinking session. Therefore I met up with Nic, Kian Hong, Aaron and Eileen at Partyworld at Liang Court. Haven't been there in ages. The last time I was there was also with these Citi people. Kian Hong really sang his heart out on that night. Then Eileen left and Mckenzie and Leonard joined us for an all-guys drinking session at Mulligan's at first, then to Beer Market. Really interesting experience, especially at Beer Market. The prices of the beers sold really fluctuate with time. I had to go after a bottle of Little Creatures as I had to wake up early the next day to go JB. Crapz! But cool drinking session. Haven't done that in quite a while hehehe.

T-1 Gogogo!

One more day till I start work at a new place! It's my 3rd job since graduating from NTU. First time working in CBD too. Wonder how it'll be like.

8th April 2011, Friday

JPot! Finally went there with the Citi peoplez (Aar, Eil, Jus, Joc, Joy, Kiw, Ser, Ros). First time there too. In the end I realized that it's got a nice ambience but you have to pay quite a lot if you wanna have lotsa good food. I'll prefer to go to the steamboat restaurants along Liang Seah anytime than to go Jpot ahahha! Cheap and good food.

6th April 2011, Wednesday

My last day in Citi. Kinda sad to leave that place. Made so many friends there and I like the environment too. But all good things come to an end someday, so we should just look forward to the future. I went to get cupcakes from the Icing Room at T1, as well as some cheesecakes for vegetarians from Emicakes, in the morning. Realized that I could only take cab since the cakes were contained in two big plastic bags, so I grabbed a cab from Tampines Mall, after seeing that the taxi queue at T1 was super long.

At 4pm, they asked me to go out for this little farewell session. And so I took the chance to take one last group photo with them.

At the end of the day, I also took individual shots with most of them who were still around. Goodbye Citi! It's been nice to work there for the past two years.

Counting Down To Last Day

Wah 3 more days only. That's fast. Back then when I was leaving ST Electronics, it was such a painful wait for my last day. Now when I am about to leave Citi, it's such a painful thing to leave that place. It's been a great place to work in. Made plenty of friends and widened my social circle even more than at ST (I think). Can't really bear to leave this workplace of roughly 1 year and 11 months. But as we all know 天下没有不散的宴席, and there are people leaving every so often. Hopefully my new workplace is a great place to work in, with great colleagues too.

2nd April 2011, Saturday

And it was supposed to be a dinner at Suntec with the GIP people. But there was a sudden change of plans to go JB instead. Then we waited at Causeway Point for ET and KW (he only knocked off at 7pm). So we waited from 6 to 7+, and eventually we decided that it was too late to go JB, and we changed our venue to the Bottle Tree Park. Haven't been there before. Rongxuan, who came back from the US, ET and KW, all drove cars and therefore we had plenty of space for the rest of us. There was also Alan, Kim, Nana, NZ and I brought Momo along too. So there we had a zichar dinner at the restaurant. Just some simple dishes for dinner. The main part of the program was chatting and reminiscing about the times in Beijing under the GIP. With Rongxuan around, which we hardly got the chance for that to happen, we were entertained by all the jokes and experiences both by him and everyone else.

The later part of the night was a suggestion by Nana to go to Sentosa Boardwalk to chill out at one of the restaurant pubs. So the three drivers drove us to Vivo and we walked over to one of the place called Queens. The interiors was quite lavishly decorated. Felt like a Roman or Greek palace. We had some snacks and two towers of Hoegaarden. RX even "flirted" with the waitress as she was also quite friendly lol. We ended up drinking about 2.5 glasses of beer. *burp*

Hazelnut something. Tastes like Ferrero Roche with crusts.
