KTV + Gundam + Ice-cream = Shiok!

I'm sitting in here in a boring room. It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon. I'm wasting my time I've got lotsa things to do....

Ok too much KTV ahahhaa! Here's the recap:

11th September 2009, Friday

We went to this place at Liang Court called Marutama Ramen, a Japanese restaurant specializing in ramen. Costs about $12 a bowl. The soup was really very tasty. Noodles QQ one haha. So I give a 4 stars for the noodles. おいしかったですよ hehe.
After that we went to the Partyworld KTV just upstairs. There were 8 of us from my office. Most of them were from the last KTV gang, plus Justina and Charles. We sang from 9pm to 1am, and even extended another 2 hrs since everyone was in the mood. Sharon left at 12:30am cos Erwin went to pick her up. So the 7 of us continued the madness until 3am lol. Charles sang plenty of Hokkien songs and other silly imitations to make us laugh our heads off lol.
12th September 2009, Saturday

I finally decided to go and see the Gundam Fiesta exhibition held at Compass Point. Why did they wanna set it up at such an ulu place??? Beats me... Luckily got someone interested to go with me. Therefore I met up with Jacenta to travel to this ulu shopping centre at Sengkang. At first glance, the size of the exhibition didn't really had much impact on us, but as we wondered deeper into the exhibition and saw the huge collection of Gundam models on display. Wah 看傻眼了... They had the latest and oldest models on display. Cos the size of each model is actually quite small, that explains why there's no need to hold it at those large places like Suntec I guess. Even the creator of Gundam, Katsumi Kawaguchi, was present to have a little game with his fans. Awesome! What's even more awesome were the two Gundam babes. I feel that they're even more professional than those at IT shows. These two models did not hesitate to pose for all the 99% of the guys who were waiting to take their pix. They didn't even show a bit of reluctance to keep posing even though there were wearing those kinda uncomfortable-looking Gundam outfits lol. That's what I call professional. I guess I snapped 66% Gundam and 33% Gundam babes. And I took like 100+ pix altogether. Wahaha! Really damn cool Gundam models on display. At one moment I was so itching to get my hands on the titanium finish of the Unicorn Gundam, but it costs a hefty $135.95! Crazy! But it looks really damn nice!! ARGH!! Oh well I'm not a Gundam fan anyway, otherwise I think I might have burnt a hole in my wallet.

Clear version. Nice!

Next up we traveled to Marina Barrage via the free shuttle bus from Marina Bay MRT station for the Ben & Jerry's Chunk Fest. Alas all those who wanted to join me din turn up. So Jacenta and I roamed around MB and tried out some of the 12 new flavours exclusive to this event. I got the Butter Pecan and Chocolate Fudge something something. B&J's flavours are always super long and hard to remember lol. We then enjoyed ice-cream to the sounds of local bands rocking away on the small stage set up specially for this event. The Muttons were there as hosts too. Throughout the day it was pretty hot and humid, therefore the ice-cream melted quite quickly. I think the ice-cream flavours were nothing really fantastic. Just that B&J had a great marketing strategy to sell their products. But still it's a great event to get our asses off our chairs at home hahah.
