Zoo & Halloween Horrors & Chester's ROM

Finally got my pc back up after a long hiatus. Crapz... my motherboard decided to R.I.P. It's only 2 years and 8 months old! SighzZzz...

And of course, I was sick for like more than one week or so. Therefore didn't have the energy or will to post any updates. Sorry to all my faithful readers out there. Will update once I'm done with AFA this weekend. Gonna have plenty of updates. OH EM GEE!

And so I'm back to update. Here goes...

30th October 2010, Saturday

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo.
How about you, you you.
You can come too, too, too.
We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo.

It's been more than a decade since I last stepped into the Singapore Zoo. And of all times, it started pouring when Momo and I reached the entrance. Craps! Then after discussing with Liyang and Selina, we decided to get the 2-in-1 ticket for Zoo + Night Safari for $32, which we will top up with an additional $28 for the Halloween Horrors event. Too bad Auntie Annie's zoo card cannot be used. -_-... Well it cost $50 for the Halloween Horrors event anyway so $60 ain't a big difference since we get to go to the zoo.
Spent the whole afternoon walking all around the zoo. It's like back in the primary school excursion days, except that I remember nothing about it at all haha.

We met up with L&S to go for the HH together. Wow there were huge crowds outside NS already. We went around taking pix of the ghouls and ghosts at the entrance of NS. Awesome! They really put effort into making themselves look as real as possible.
All rides start at 7pm and we can only choose to queue up for one first, therefore we decided to go queue for the Train of Terror ride first. Not scary at all sia. The tram MC was dressed in a long white dress and spoke in a deep supposedly scary voice. And throughout the trip, most of the "ghosts" appeared from the left side, whereas there weren't much to amuse me since I'm seated on the right side of the tram. BORING!

After that we went for the Trail of the Undead. It's basically a normal walking trail around NS, but they added Halloween elements and "ghosts" to scare the shit out of us. Quite a few of the "ghosts" were hidden amongst the leaves and trees and would just jump out of nowhere accompanied with shouts or screams.
Next up we went to queue for the Creatures of the Night show, also with a Halloween twist. What a disappointment. Boring like hell. The final piece of music and the guy doing boliao moves to the tune of The Undertaker's theme was a total waste of time. By that time we had no more time to enter the Haunted Village at the Zoo anymore because the staff told us we had to queue for 2 hours and 45 mins! SIAO!!! What a total waste of our money. Sianz loh, so we left the Zoo missing out on the scariest venue. Sighzz...

We then decided to go for our very late dinner at 11+pm! Hungry like mad. Luckily we didn't queue. L&S brought us to this restaurant called Silvery Moon, at the Fisherman's Village area at Pasir Ris. The whole place was also decorated with Halloween stuff, but there was no real celebration there. Momo and I tried the sausage platter. Quite nice. And the sausages went very well with the special curry sauce. What a way to finish a Halloween night, with a sumptious meal. Awesome!

3rd November 2010, Wednesday

Aaron's parents were gone for a holiday in Japan and thus we could drive to work. So we planned to go to With A Pinch of Salt at Tanjong Katong area sort of as a small birthday celebration for Kiwi. A very nice place. Set meal only $6.90 if I remember correctly. Nice place to hold a birthday celebration too.

7th November 2010, Sunday

It was my roommie's ROM at Park Hotel Clarke Quay. Only Don, Charles, Zhongming and me from Blk 22 were invited. The rest were his other older frenz. He got a total of 40 people for this afternoon ROM event to witness the day he and Jessie were announced man and wife. Kirakun is married! Congrats to him!
